Overview
You can delete your ClaimStation data at any time. This page explains exactly how, and what happens to your information after you do.
01Disconnect Gmail (only)#
If you only want to revoke our access to your Gmail inbox without deleting your ClaimStation account:
- Sign into ClaimStation.
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Under "Gmail," click Disconnect.
We immediately revoke the OAuth refresh token with Google and delete the stored credential row from our database. From that moment, ClaimStation has no further access to your Gmail account.
You can also revoke ClaimStation's access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
02Delete a single claim#
Open the claim, click the ... menu in the top-right, then Delete claim. The claim is soft-deleted and recoverable for 30 days. After 30 days it is hard-deleted from our database; backups roll off on the standard backup-retention schedule.
03Delete your entire account#
- Sign into ClaimStation.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to Delete account and click it. You'll be asked to confirm.
What gets deleted:
- Your user profile (name, email, license info, profile photo).
- All connected integrations (Gmail OAuth tokens are revoked with Google first).
- Your authored notes and drafts.
- Your firm's claim and contact records, only if you are the sole owner of the firm. If you are one of several members, your seat is removed but the firm's shared records remain with the other members.
Account deletion is soft for 30 days (recoverable by emailing support@claim-station.com), then hard-deleted within 90 days from active databases. Backup purges follow the backup-retention schedule.
04Request deletion via email#
If you cannot sign into your account, or if you are an insured / contractor whose information was entered into ClaimStation by a public adjusting firm and you want it removed, email privacy@claim-station.com with:
- Your full name.
- The email address associated with the data.
- The name of the public adjusting firm that handled your claim, if known.
- A short description of what you would like deleted.
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete verifiable requests within 30 days. Where required by law (e.g. CCPA), we will respond in the timeframes the law prescribes.
05What we may retain#
Some records may be retained after deletion for the limited purposes of:
- Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., tax records, regulatory inspection).
- Resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements.
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be traced back to you.
- Information that the licensed public adjusting firm is statutorily required to retain (typically 5+ years under state PA-licensing rules), even after a contractor or insured-side individual requests deletion of their personal copy.
Audit-log entries about administrative actions remain for 18 months to support security investigations.
